Parent Ian Borthwick has been voted as new PFA Chair

The PFA held their AGM and voted in a new Chair to support the parent community and fundraising, Mr Ian Borthwick. Ian thanked outgoing Chair Judy Roberts for all her hard work in the past three years, and the team will still work with Judy over the coming months to handover.

Ian is Head of Publishing for BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and has a daughter who newly started in Year 7 at Stephen Perse Foundation Senior School. Ian has worked in the charitable sector since 2011, previously working for the Institution of Engineering and Technology as well as having served as a Board member and Committee Chair for the International Association of Scientific Technical and Medical Publishers. He hopes to help the PFA to run fun events and to fund engaging activities for the pupils.

"I'm looking forward to continuing the great work that Judy and the PFA committee have delivered in the past few years, and to work off the back of the modernised constitution to strengthen our community ties and inspire the pupils across Stephen Perse schools."

Ian is keen to encourage all parents to sign up to Classlist (a closed app/website that allows all parents from each class or year group to communicate), volunteer as a Class Rep/Year Rep, and will be looking to appoint a new Treasurer to take the finance side forward.
