  • Year 9 French Exchange

    Twenty Year 9 students accompanied by Mme Parente and Miss Covez spent a week at the end of March near Rouen where they stayed with their host families, the first leg of the exchange with the College de la Providence in Mesnil-Esnard, a satellite suburban village a few miles from the city of Rouen.

  • Year 7 Wind Turbine Challenge

    Year 7 finished off their exam week on the Friday afternoon before half term with a fun making activity using dowels and rubber bands. 

    The girls worked in teams and were asked to build the tallest and most stable structure to support a wind turbine; there was also a prize for the best engineered design. There were some great structures including one nearly two meters tall! 

    All the models are being exhibited in the Cabinet of Curiosities for a couple of weeks.

  • Keio 2016

    Poppy and Jenny from Year 10 and Tanisha and Aoife from Year 12 were our Keio scholarship students, visiting Japan for a week over half term. This was an incredibly exciting experience, with tears at the airport as we didn't want to leave!

  • WE Day at Wembley Arena

    On the 9th March 13 Year 11 students from the Charity and Outreach Committees went to Wembley Arena for WE Day. 

    The event is a celebration of youth who have made a difference in their local and global communities and the aim of the day is to help to empower youth to be drivers of social change. 

    It was a fantastic day and we heard from an array of interesting speakers such as Labrinth (Singer), Rita Ora (Singer), Holly Branson (Co-Chair of WE Day UK), Clive Owen (Award Winning Actor), Darren Criss (Actor & Musician, known for Glee), and Professor Brian Cox OBE.

  • Les Joutes Oratoires regional winners!

    On Wednesday 15 June 3 teams of keen francophiles from Year 10 made their way over to Perse Upper to take part in the regional French debating competition with other schools, such as Oundle, Bedford Girls and The Leys.

  • Year 10 Drama Trip to London

    Our IGCSE Drama students spent a very inspiring day in London in early May. 

    In the morning we took a tour of the auditoriums, backstage areas and workshops of The National Theatre on the South Bank. Then, after a very sunny lunch break in Covent Garden, we saw the thought-provoking and, at times, harrowing production of 'People, Places and Things' at The Wyndhams Theatre. 

    This production has received tremendous accolades, in particular for Denise Gough's stand-out performance as the central character coming to terms with drug and alcohol addiction.
